Bug-B-Gone Lemon is a blend created by the wholesale supplier. As such, we do not know the precise ingredients of the essential blend. However, the blend has a pleasant aroma and seems intended as a healthy alternative to DEET-based repellent products.

We have experimented somewhat with this blend and the original Bug-B-Gone blend on backpacking trips in the high Uintah Mountain Range where mosquitos and other biting insects are prevalent. In an attempt to compare the blends, we applied one type to each arm to see if we could measure their effectiveness. The results were inconclusive because we were both too chicken to expose ourselves to the hordes of hovering insects and continued to wear long sleeves with mosquito head nets. We did still have some bites through our clothing, as did other campers in our group who used DEET products. The rabid insects didn't particularly care about either preventative.

One customer reported success with the Bug-B-Gone products against biting flies. We would love to have some testimonials from those who have tried these blends.
